Charles Linden
The British anxiety recovery practitioner who created The Linden Method in 1996 — the world's only proprietary anxiety recovery system. There are thousands of anxiety programmes. There is only one Linden Method. 650,000+ people permanently recovered.
Charles Linden suffered severe anxiety disorder from the age of fourteen — panic attacks, agoraphobia, OCD and the full spectrum of related conditions. For more than a decade he tried every conventional route: medication, talking therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, hypnotherapy. None delivered the permanent recovery he was looking for.
In 1996, after years of independent research into the neuroscience of anxiety, Charles identified the underlying physiological mechanism that produces anxiety disorders and built a structured protocol to resolve it. He applied the protocol to himself. His own anxiety disorder permanently resolved within weeks.
That protocol became The Linden Method. Over the thirty years that followed, Charles and his team refined it across 650,000+ documented client outcomes in 42 countries — building what is today the world's only Evidence Based Recovery Practice for anxiety disorders.
Today Charles oversees coach training and accreditation for LAR Coaching, leads weekly Q&A webinars for the global recovery community, and continues the development of the protocol through The Linden Centre.
